Opening Statement

🏈 Player Code of Conduct

1. I will remember that I play to have fun and that the game is for youth — not for adults.
2. I will respect my coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials at all times.
3. I will not engage in unsportsmanlike conduct — no booing, taunting, trash talk, or refusing to shake hands.
4. I will not use profanity, slurs, or disrespectful language on or off the field.
5. I will play by the rules and resolve conflicts without hostility or violence.
6. I will remember that doing my best is more important than winning.
7. I will never ridicule or embarrass a teammate for making a mistake.
8. I will maintain academic responsibility and remain in good academic standing.
9. Attendance: more than 2 unexcused practice absences per week means I do not start the next game.
10. I will return all team equipment in good condition at the end of the season.
11. I will not post anything on social media that reflects negatively on the team, league, or other players.
12. I understand that severe violations may result in suspension or removal from the team.

👨‍👩‍👦 Parent / Guardian Code of Conduct

1. I will remember that children participate to have fun and that this game is for youth, not adults.
2. I will be a positive role model and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy to all players, coaches, officials, and spectators.
3. I will not engage in unsportsmanlike conduct of any kind — no booing, taunting, profane language, or gestures.
4. I will never ridicule or yell at my child or any player for making a mistake or losing a competition.
5. I will promote the emotional and physical well-being of all athletes ahead of any personal desire to win.
6. I will respect officials and coaches — I will not confront them at the field. Concerns must be raised privately via email.
7. I will refrain from coaching players during games and practices unless I am an official coach of the team.
8. I will stay behind the designated spectator area at all times.
9. Financial obligations must be met on time. Players are not rostered until payment is confirmed.
10. Violations may result in: (a) a warning, (b) removal from that game or practice, (c) a $50 fine for repeated violations, or (d) suspension for the season.

🏆 Coach / Staff Code of Conduct

This section is signed by coaches and staff members separately during onboarding. It establishes the professional and ethical standards all coaches agree to before working with your players.

1. I will place the emotional and physical well-being of every player ahead of any personal desire to win.
2. I will treat every player, parent, and official with dignity and respect at all times.
3. I will teach the rules of the game and ensure they are followed by my players.
4. I will maintain a safe practice environment — no player should feel physically or emotionally unsafe under my supervision.
5. I will be reasonable in the demands I make of players, recognizing school, family, and other commitments.
6. I will never use profanity, derogatory language, or physical contact of an aggressive nature with any player.
7. I will communicate with parents openly and professionally — I am available by email for questions and concerns after games.
8. I will never be alone with a single player in a secluded area. A second adult must always be present.
9. I will report any concerns about player safety or welfare to the appropriate league officials immediately.
10. I will model the behavior I expect from my players — in victory and in defeat.
11. I understand that violations of this code may result in my removal from the team or league.
